Following the Herd

You should know the drill by now, this list's been all over the foodie spectrum in almost every form imaginable - Bittersweet's vegan version, the vegetarian one at Feeding Maybelle and the original one written up at Very Good Taste. There's a lot to look at in the world of food - I didn't even know some of these things existed!

Sorry for the crappy formatting, too, Blogger is sucking majorly today!

General rules for all lists:
bold
= have eaten
unhighlighted = haven't eaten
struck out = won't ever eat

  1. hey, you did a great job on all three lists. I didn't know about bittersweet vegan's. I will go over and look now.

  2. You should really try the Spruce Tip Shortbread Cookies - I've never met anyone who didn't like it or who was bothered by it in any way. But you'll have to wait until next spring for the soft, bright green fresh growth, which is the edible part.

  3. Oh my gosh, Sarah, thank you so so much for the award! And I'm so glad you left a comment on my blog, because it enabled me to discover yours. I am adding you to my blogroll right now!

  4. I'll have to give the vegetarian list a try --

    My version of Hannah's list is up but I take exception to the addition of highly processed and packaged foods like soy whipped cream and fake meats, so I've made a "crunchy vegan 100" version of the list, reinstating some items from the original -- like rose harissa, ZOMG! the yum!

  5. You should give some of the crossed-out items a try sometime.

    Homemade soymilk is fantastic; a Chinese restaurant I used to frequent made their own, and it was a hundred times better than Edensoy.

    Natto is just one of those things you should try once so you'll know what it's like.

    Vegemite's fantastic, honestly. Yes, it looks vile, but either on toast or as a cooking ingredient, it's intensely savory, rich stuff.
